Darrell created our wedding bands in 1995. I have returned to him many times for jewelry including diamond stud earrings about 10 years ago. Just recently I went in to upgrade the diamond studs. Unfortunately, Tim assisted me, because Darrell was busy. He told me the earrings (that Darrell sold me!) were only 1 ct total (they are actually 1.57 ct) and weren't worth much and he didn't really want them. I don't know who to trust now. He suggested I take them to Smyth for cash and return to HVJ to purchase earrings that he was trying to get from his "diamond dealer." I did go to Smyth and upgraded to 3 ct (which HVJ did not have). Tim was condescending to me and rude to the young lady that was initially helping me. He clearly didn't understand that I was trying to be loyal to HVJ, but he sent me to Smyth anyway??? So, 22 years of good service by Darrell ruined by 15 minutes spent with Tim.
My husband purchased my engagement ring here. They set the diamond, sized the ring and made a wedding band to match with perfect bright blue sapphires. Five years later my insurance company wants an up date on the appraisal and they said they would get it ready no charge! That's great customer service! Thanks guys!!! We will be back for future purchases.

HVJ is my go to jeweler in the area! I have lived here for more than 20 years and my entire family trusts only this business to handle our items. I always feel like a valued customer vs. just being a notch in quota. From low ticket to very big ticket purchases, I will only go to them. They are professional, exceedingly knowledgeable and most importantly HONEST! With all of these McMonster jewelry stores in the area, it's great to still have ones where you feel like family when you walk in the door.
