This is where things go downhill. I walk out to find my old tire in my back seat of my car. First thought was, "Why in the world would you put a dirty deflated tire in the back seat of a car, let alone a luxury sedan with suede seats". Thank god the tire was in a bag or things would of been way worse. However the bag was ripped and clearly forcefully pushed into position by the tech. I know this because I could not remove the tire from the back seat without moving the passenger seat forward. Also there were clear tire marks on the back of the seat (Seen in Pictures). After seeing this I walked back inside and spoke to Scott about my findings. His response? "I didn't do it". Well that's very helpful. I then informed him that my back seat was full of dirt and all marked up from the old tire. Again he just stared at me with a confused look as if he didn't understand the issue. "The tech said you had stuff in your trunk". If that were the case don't you think he should of came out and asked me to move some stuff around or if it was ok for the staff to do so?
And if you don't know anything about cars, they will take advantage of you and up sell you thing you don't need to the tune of more than 4x what you originally came in for.
Lots of great coupons for regular servicing out here. Take both my Odyssey and Forester here and find prices for most services to be very competitive. Add in the manager, Jeff's, customer service and the generally great interaction with him and the staff and this place is a winner.....
Been a regular here for a couple of years now. Terrific service and they are pretty upfront about what needs and does not need replacing. There have been times when I have asked about brake and tire replacements and they have asked me to hold off for some time given the amount of tread left on the tires or life left in the brakes.
They complained loudly in front of the customer that they refused to stay late. Again RED FLAG #2. Knowing that they wanted to be gone at 5 pm they would of been rushing to accomplish they're tasks. 4:45 pm rolls around and I see my car pull up. At this point Scott lets me know that the tire cannot be saved however they put the donut on free of charge. I thanked him and his staff for their assistance and went outside to get in my car.
(Feel free to read my rant).
Entered the store without an appointment and was fortunate enough to have supervisor take a look at my tire for a flat. While walking to my car I was informed that because it was an Audi all four tires would need to be replaced, even though all three are 4 months old with a couple of thousand miles on them. This should have been my first RED FLAG. Despite being told a blatant lie, without the tech even seeing the car, we continued inside. Scott let me know that they would do what they can to repair the tire before 5 pm that day. I was great full for his assistance although his co-workers may not of been.
At this point, understanding I was not going to get any where with this man I asked for him to contact the Store Manager to let him know that the staff and effectively ruined a customers interior with a bad decision to put a tire in the back seat. I was told that he would not be contacting the store manager on his day off and that I should call the store on Monday to complain, and pointed to his card. I took a card asked for the names of all that were involved with his colossal failure of customer service. Scott then told me I wasn't understanding and that after all I got a "free service". Frustrated I left.
Terrible Actual Service
I called the Mr. Tire in Cockeysville and was told he had to charge me 117.99 dollars for installing 4 new tires since the tires i want are from their online website, when I asked him about the 60 dollars coupon I got from Mr.Tire, he said i can not use it since on the coupon there has to be something written like I can not use this combined coupon. I told him there is nothing written on it , it is just a coupon, if i can not use it in stores, why do Mr.Tire send them to me all the time? again he told me that is the corporation policy. So I called another Mr. Tire on 1536 York RD , the man told me i can use the 60 dollars coupon and installation for my 4 tires is free. So by making another phone call, I have saved (117.99+60) 177.99 total. I just changed my tires one hour after I made the phone call. It tells me something . DO not trust every word people said. He tried to act like he knows it all but he lose a customer. Of course he doesn't care .
In summary: Don't waste your Time, Money and Sanity on this place.
Replaced one tire. Job done quicker than expected. Eric and Jeff were pleasant, friendly, and helpful. Appreciated honesty.... didn’t automatically do alignment without determining that it wasn’t necessary!
I found my tire leaking air Sunday morning and found myself at Mr. Tire in Cockeysville. I really appreciate that they could fit me in with many booked appointments and help me before my crazy long week of commuting and maybe snow Friday! Jeff also made sure they did a basic check of the car to make sure I was good. Thank you!
