The chef. He smokes? Started with the caprese which was very good; I would have had a couple more basil leaves and a touch more olive oil and balsamic for the plate. Next I had the tagliatelle and bison and my blood pressure probably jumped 20 points after the first bite. There’s a rule to making soup or a sauce and it’s that you don’t add the salt until the end. Either this wasn’t followed or the chef is a multi pack a day smoker. This was a shame as after my palate cut through the sodium I could make out a decent base and stock. Unfortunately I was only able get through about a third of it and one of our teenage children polished it off for a late night snack. My wife and I split the tiramisu and it was very good. We’ve dined here before, and the former Boccaccio’s, and this has never been our experience. Our waiter did a good job taking care of us and I want to return but I am cautious, as the salt was just overwhelming.

The late lunch we had today was excellent in every respect: appetizers, entrees, desserts, the wine and cappuccinos; all made more delicious by the gracious service of Ali. In fact, we have never had less than a great meal at Vito's. This restaurant, tucked into an unassuming little plaza on York Road, is a great find!
Awesome food. True Italian sauce. From appetizers (stuffed zucchini flowers), veal dishes for entrees, & tiramasu and espresso for dessert was spectacular. Ernesto and wait staff were attentive and prompt. Luca and kitchen staff put out beautiful presentation of dishes that were steaming hot and delicious. Great ambiance. Will be coming back.
